THE STORY by Bud Lindeburgh
A crotchety old man's wife wants a fountain in a somewhat triangular 600 square foot, fenced in area. The house is two sides of the triangle, a picket fence the third side. ( What can you do that will look any good in that spot? )

The wife calls Beau of Masterpiece. He comes to the house and suggests a small flagstone patio ( I don't like flagstone !! ) with some kind of stone waterfall, ( your kidding !!), a flagstone walkway ( Eh. That stuff again !! ). The rest covered with mulch with some indigenous plants.( I don't like mulch! )

He's supposed to do this for the price that he quoted. (Yeah , right !!)
Two guys , Carlos and Emanuel, show up at the appointed time. ( I'm gonna watch them like a hawk ) They work like machines. They seem to know what their doing. ( I check everything ) When everything is determined (where, why and how ) a third man ( Samuel ) shows up. These guys are absolute gentlemen.

The guys show up the second day and start working. Seems kind of foolish to keep an eye on them as they know what they are doing. ( I keep checking anyway ) Finished. They cleanup. Wouldn't know they were here.

BEAU SHOWS UP FOR HIS MONEY. ( Now for the ups. You know, for the little changes we made.) It comes in as quoted, except for the extra plants that we ordered. ( WOW !!!!! )

There is one problem though. I spend too much time eating my breakfast, extended lunches and cookout suppers on "MY" beautiful patio alongside "MY" Fantastic waterfall and stream in "MY" courtyard. ( I call it My grotto )
In my 71 years I have never felt inspired to recommend anyone for anything. I certainly do here.
